Friends of the White River

Friends of the White River is a nonprofit in Indianapolis, IN that advocates for a clean, healthy river ecosystem. Their mission is “To protect, preserve, and promote our vital resource for communities in Central Indiana by connecting people to the White River.”

“The videos Rachel produced and edited allowed Friends of the White River to launch our first project-based fundraising campaign in over a decade, while also targeting a crucial audience for our membership program.

The fundraising video she created served as an essential tool to cultivate new donors and raise awareness about the lack of public river access in Marion County, while the membership recruitment video is now our front-facing, go-to communication piece. Rachel is creative and awesome and is the first person I reach out to for support with digital media. She’s great to work with and skilled at her craft of visual storytelling.”

Membership Recruitment

I produced a three minute video that serves as the organization's flagship video for their general target audience. It welcomes visitors to their website and has increased membership enrollment numbers as well as engagement opportunities in the community.

PublicAccess Fund Campaign

I produced a three minute video for the organization's first fundraising campaign in over a decade, cultivating new donors and raising awareness about the lack of public river access in Marion County.

Signage & Mailers

I designed Donor Thank You mailers and a White River Clean Up banner for an event that I'd attend to engage with the volunteers, while also filming b-roll for the production of later videos.
